Thank You, I Love You!!!

lgSimplyThankYou.jpg

Hello Everyone,

My Apologies for the late post today. I am in GA taking care of the person whom I am MOST Thankful to have in my life. She's wise, strong, patient, loving, calm, humble, funny, an excellent teacher and she's my Grandmother/Mom. I love her more then words and its been a pleasure to be here hanging out and helping out.

This Wednesday Dec 30th 2 days away from the start of a new decade, I thought it would only be fitting to address the words Thank You and Love. Let me start by saying THANK YOU to you guys, the readers for faithfully being here for the past 3 months and trusting in Karina and myself.

Saying Thank You is an expression of Gratitude and Politeness.
You open a door for someone and they say Thank You
You give someone a gift and they say Thank You
You help someone with something they may be working on or give directions
And they say Thank You.

How powerful these two words are. Ever wonder why we can feel so instantly disappointed or hurt when someone does not use a thank you for something we've done?

Ever wonder why we expect a thank you from others but laugh at the idea of saying it to ourselves? Do we feel the same hurt and disappointed when we don't say thank you to ourselves?

Is taking out time to further our education, learn a language, take a yoga class, or do any other thing to give back to ourselves not worth a Thank You?

Ever think about actually Thanking our bodies? Yes thanking our bodies for providing us with so much from our feet to our head, from the inside out.

Follow me on a short journey.
Keeping our mind and heart open.
Giving ourselves permission to let go of judgement.
Giving ourselves permission to say Thank You and I love You.

You are wonderful, from the inside out.
You are magnificent from head to toe.
You are beautiful in everything you do and you Deserve to take a moment to give thanks and love to ourselves.

Lets find an easy seated or lying down pose,
Taking a moment to focus on our breath
Close our eyes and connect with ourselves.
Connect with our bodies.

Starting at our feet, thinking about what they mean to us and saying Thank You and I Love You for providing us with the ability to stand, walk, run and balance.

Moving up to our true pillars of strength, our legs. How do we view our legs? Lets acknowledge them for the strength they provide, literally holding us up each day no matter what weight of the world we seem to have on our back. Acknowledging them for the carrying us to and from our favorite places, to visit our favorite people, to run and play with our kids and siblings to dance to walk to MOVE. Saying Thank You and I Love You!

Moving into our torso, thinking about our abs and our organs. Taking a moment to Say Thank you and I Love You. Our abs are literally our natural back support system. Our organs function day after day, taking care or our bodies, from telling us when we are hungry to fighting off germs. Saying Thank You because day after day they have functioned without us ever having to pull out our owners manual or jump start them in the morning.

Lets focus on our arms and hands. Reflecting back on the year and the people we have been able to hug, touch or pick up. What about the packages we purchased, items we put together, or the do it yourself project we took on. Saying Thank You and I love you!

Saying Thank You and I love you for our sight, smell, taste, hearing and ability to communicate. Reflecting on the words we said, the words we hold dear that someone said to us, The taste of some meal we hold dear as well as the sights our eyes have taken in from our young child taking his or her first step to an historic or marvelous place we visited this year.

As we go into 2010 instead of thinking about all the things we didn't get done or what we could have done better. Start Jan 1 saying Thank You and I Love You for all the wonderful things our bodies did for 2009 and will continue to do for 2010.

Happy New Year Everyone!

Oh What a Beautiful Morning!

Good morning from Thailand.

I have woke up in the most beautiful place. AMAZING! We arrived last night to Krabi and then got in a car to a town call Po Nang which was about a 30 min drive where we stopped at a driveway next to the ocean, literaly and got on a long tail boat. i watched this boat pull up to the shore, a guys jumps out and carries our bags across the water into the boat. The view was awesome even in the dark as we arrived to our beach and home about 20mins later. Its a short walk right off the beach where we are nestled just under a gorgeous and huge limestone rock mass. The house is rather rustic, very open feeling and nice. I was awakened by the natural dawning of the day and the views outside my room. Awesome.

So first thing this morning after a quick change and morning rituals, I grabbed my camera and took a walk around the grounds. Flowers, plants, tress, homes made out of wood that resemble big tree houses and a back drop of huge limestone....what a dream right before my eyes.

I can't wait to go on a few hikes around the area, and of course get in the ocean. Its so warm, clear, calm and just seems to go on forever. I am going to hate coming back home. :+(

Well the birds are chirping and the fog is burning off. Time to go and see what I can get into. I believe I hear breakfast calling.

Here I am!

As I sit contemplating the gifts I have before me.....gifts that no one can take away from me. Gifts that I learned to TRULY appreciate in life. Some would say they are so simple I say they are so POWERFUL:

What are they?

Love
Peace
Joy
Gratitude!

May I take a moment to reflect on these wonderful things with you!

Love:  I have love not only for others, but from myself to myself. Love I share with my dearest family and friends.  Love I receive from the universe itself.

Peace:  What can I say, How wonderful it is to have: peace of mind, peace of spirit, peace of knowing that I have the power within to be as good to myself as I want to be!

Joy:  Joy covers so much, but at this very moment!  I am Joyful to be ALIVE to be here on this earth.  Joyful to Have Love, Joyful to Know Peace and Joyful for the Gratitude I share not only with myself inside and out, but with my clients, friends and loved ones.  I'm Thankful for having the knowledge and the ability to live in this moment without over processing but truly being able to take a breath, a moment, a stitch in time to enjoy this Precious Gift I posses called the PRESENT!

Recognizing I am only as good as I can be RIGHT NOW!

Ever Wonder how you to can feel the same?
